What We Test

There is much more to your vision than “which looks better, 1 or 2?”.

We are always on the lookout for eye diseases such as glaucoma, macular degeneration and cataracts and can often detect them before they become a problem.

Using the latest technology, we can image the eye in ways to detect diseases such as glaucoma and macular degeneration, even in their early stages.

Retinal photography and Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT) provide invaluable information about your eyes, and we utilise them as a part of every eye exam.

We are comfortable in assessing visual learning problems, myopia control, colour vision, contact lenses, diabetic screenings, red eyes, dry eye, safety eye wear, blue light control and LASIK candidates (essentially anything eye related!).

We love seeing patients of all ages including young children and both Sam and Carla are therapeutically trained in prescribing ocular medications.

Got Questions?

How often should I have my eyes examined?

Sam and Carla will be able to advise how regularly you should be seen.  For most people this will be every one or two years.  However, if you have a family history of eye disease such as glaucoma or macular degeneration, or have a changing prescription we may want to monitor you more closely.

What are the different eye tests you do?

In addition to checking your prescription, we have the expertise and technology to assess other aspects of your vision including glaucoma, macular degeneration, contact lenses, colour vision, dry eye, myopia control, low-vision, cataract and LASIK assessments. When should I bring my child in for their first eye exam?

Anytime! Even from 6 months onwards, we’re more than happy to have a look and rule out any concerns.
